    HOW IT WORKS

Your Child's Assessment - Step By Step

The assessment is designed as one connected digital pathway, ensuring support before, during and after speaking with a Raiys clinician.

    01

    Register & Pay

A parent or guardian with parental responsibility enters their details, reviews the assessment information and chooses a payment arrangement.

    Start
    02

    Home & School Information

Complete developmental, health, strengths and wellbeing questionnaires in the parent portal. Young people aged 11 and over share their own views. With your consent, a teacher or SENCO contributes securely.

    03

    Book Your Appointments

Once all home and school information is returned, choose appointment times online. Reasonable adjustments are welcomed.

    04

    Parent Interview & Child Session

An ADI-R developmental history interview and a separate child session informed by ADOS-2 bring your family’s experiences together with clinical observation.

    05

    Feedback, Report & Support

Two clinicians review the evidence and discuss the outcome with you. Receive your report within 14 days of feedback, with practical home and school recommendations and family access to the Raiys app.

    CLINICAL CONVERSATIONS

    Getting To Know Your Child

    ADI-R · Parent & Carer Interview

Around two hours by telephone with a specialist clinician, exploring early development, milestones, communication, play and friendships. Your child does not need to attend, and a break is built in halfway through.

    Your Child’s Session

A 60-minute session with a second specialist clinician, using activities and conversation matched to your child’s age and communication style, informed by ADOS-2. You will be nearby throughout; breaks and comfort items are welcome.

    Shared Review & Feedback

Your two clinicians bring together what you, school and your child have shared, using evidence-based DSM-5 decision making. A feedback call explains the outcome and what it means for your child.

    WHAT WE EXPLORE

    Three Perspectives, One Picture

Your questionnaires and interview describe family life and early development. School shares an independent view of learning, friendships, communication and sensory experiences. Your child’s session, and their own questionnaires from age 11, ensure their voice shapes the outcome.

    Development & Everyday Life

Early experiences, education, work or learning, and the routines of everyday life.

    Communication & Connection

Communication, friendships, relationships and how social situations feel.

    Routine & Predictability

Structure, sameness, transitions and patterns that help with regulation.

    Sensory Experiences

Sound, light, touch, taste, smell and movement, including what feels enjoyable or overwhelming.

    Interests & Passions

The things that bring joy, comfort, confidence and a sense of identity.

    Wellbeing & Strengths

Health, sleep and other differences, alongside strengths and what helps you or your child thrive.

Strengths come first. Understanding a person is about far more than challenges.

    POST-DIAGNOSTIC CARE

    Support Beyond The Report

Your strengths-based report includes practical recommendations for home and school and can inform SEN Support and EHCP planning. Your family also has access to the Raiys app. Whatever the outcome, you leave with clear next steps.
